The projects funded under the RAZOM/RHIZOM programme

A total of 85 applications were received and carefully reviewed. Seven projects, implemented by 14 Ukrainian and German organisations, were selected. The projects are taking place in various cities in Germany.

The Ukrainian Institute in Germany is presenting the seven projects selected and funded under the RAZOM/RHIZOM funding programme. The projects are being implemented in different regions of Germany, which is a central focus of this funding programme. The projects are based on the values of democracy, freedom of expression and equality, which each project promotes in its own creative way.

Objectives of the RAZOM/RHIZOM funding programme:

  • strengthening Ukrainian-German partnerships with the aim of establishing long-term cooperation between participants;
  • implementation of art and cultural projects with the aim of drawing public attention to the topic of an open and democratic society in Europe;
  • strengthening the resilience and expertise of non-governmental organisations in Germany and Ukraine;
  • exchange between artists and cultural professionals from Ukraine and Germany.

The RAZOM/RHIZOM programme was made possible by the ‘Civil Society Cooperation’ initiative of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany. The programme is coordinated by the Ukrainian Institute in Germany and the Artsvit Gallery.
