Internship in Communications and Cultural Management (m/f/d)

The Ukrainian Institute in Germany is looking for an intern in the field of communications and cultural management (20 hours per week).

We invite motivated and committed students who are required to complete a mandatory internship and are interested in the fields of communication and cultural management. As part of our team, you will support us in planning and implementing cultural events and gain valuable insights into the communication and organizational work of an international cultural institution.

 

Your tasks

You will support our team in the following areas, among others:

  • Updating the website of the Ukrainian Institute in Germany (WordPress)
  • Preparing social media posts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X)
  • Creation of visual materials (Figma)
  • Invitation management for cultural events, creation of guest lists, maintenance of the contact database
  • Support with research and communication with contractors
  • Assistance with organizing events
  • Proofreading German texts (only required for native German speakers)
  • Additional tasks based on your interests and agreement

 

Your profile

You are currently enrolled as a student in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in a related field (e.g., communication, cultural studies, international relations, arts administration, political science, social sciences, or similar) and are required to complete a mandatory internship as part of your studies. Ideally, you have the following:

  • Initial experience in communication, public relations, and the organization of projects and events
  • Strong communication skills and team orientation
  • Independent and structured way of working as well as organizational skills
  • Very good written and spoken German skills; good written and spoken Ukrainian skills; English skills are an advantage
  • Creativity and enjoyment in developing new ideas
  • Familiarity with digital tools and social media is desirable
  • Interest in Ukraine and a desire to expand one’s knowledge and work with Ukraine-related topics.

Duration

The internship comprises 20 hours per week and lasts three to six months (by agreement). It is unpaid.
