The conference on the future of Ukrainian museums in Berlin in May 2024.

From May 27 to 30, 2024, the James-Simon-Galerie in Berlin will host the conference “From crisis to future. New responsibilities for Ukrainian museums” will take place.

This is being organized by the “OBMIN” Foundation and the Ukrainian Institute in Germany.

The conference is dedicated to the challenges facing museums today, not only in Ukraine, which bring with them a new social responsibility and new opportunities.

The aim is to work together with representatives from museums, politics and cultural foundations to find solutions for stronger international networking and the promotion of young talent, with a particular focus on strategies for supporting and rebuilding the Ukrainian cultural scene and preserving cultural heritage.

The detailed program will follow shortly.

The conference is financially supported by the Ernst von Siemens Foundation.

Partner organizations of the conference are the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, the Polish Institute (Instytut Polski), Berlin and the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.
